Can
I have ADSL?
At present, ADSL
is only available to users who are connected to an exchange that has been
upgraded by BT. You can check if your line supports ADSL by visiting the BT
website. If ADSL is not yet available in your area, but you are still interested
in broadband access, please let us know. BT has recently announced a major
rollout of ADSL services throughout the UK in general and Cornwall in particular.
ActNow offers businesses in Cornwall discounted rental costs. These rebates
are also available from Actnow if you are connected through kernownet.
What
do I need to use ADSL?
As well as an
ADSL account from kernownet, you will also need to purchase an ADSL modem
or router. You can buy these from a supplier, following advice from kernownet,
or you can purchase directly from kernownet at a competitive rate –
in many cases, we can also pre-configure them so you can just plug them in
and go. If you opt for an engineer installed connexion, then all this will
be done for you.
